Alan Chong is Associate Professor of International Relations at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The author of “Foreign Policy in Global Information Space: Actualizing Soft Power” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007), he specializes in the sociological study of international communication and the aspects of soft power that pertain to small states and middle powers in international politics.
