Author profile: Anand Sreekumar

Anand Sreekumar is a PhD candidate at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Adelaide. He holds an MPhil in diplomacy and disarmament from the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament at the School of International Studies (CIPOD), Jawaharlal Nehru University. His doctoral research seeks to forge an international history of sub-national exceptionalist narratives, using the case study of Kerala in Southern India. His forthcoming article in the European Journal of International Security is entitled: “The pacifist and the hypophysical: a cosmological reading of Gandhi.” His works have also appeared in International Affairs, Economic & Political Weekly and World Scientific, among others. His research interests span South Asia, political economy, intellectual history and nuclear issues.
