Author profile: Ann Towns

Ann Towns is professor in political science at the University of Gothenburg. She is also Wallenberg Academy Fellow and PI of GenDip, a research program investigating gender in diplomacy. Towns is the author of Women and States: Norms and Hierarchies in International Society (2010, Cambridge University Press) and co-editor of Gendering Diplomacy and International Negotiation (2018, Palgrave MacMillan). Her research has also appeared in journals such as International Organization and European Journal of International Relations as well as in various edited volumes.
