Aura Cumes is an Indigenous Mayan Kaqchiquel woman from Guatemala. She has a PhD in Anthropology from CIESAS (Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology) Mexico, a Master’s in Social Sciences from FLACSO Guatemala, a degree in Social Work from the Rafael Landivar University and is a member of the Autonomous Collective of Saberes Mayas Ixb’alamkyej Junajpu Wunaq.
