Bee [Burkhard] Scherer, PhD, is Chair (Full Professor) in Comparative Religion, Gender and Sexuality at Canterbury Christ Church University, U.K. A multidisciplinary scholar, Bee’s publications range from classical philology, philosophy and literature to questions of (post)modernities in Asian Religions. In particular Bee focuses on the polythetic study of transnational Buddhisms as well as on Applied Queer Theory and Transfeminism.  Bee is the founder of the Queering Paradigms network and conference series.  ​
