Benjamin Barton is a PhD Candidate on a joint doctoral programme between King’s College London (War Studies Department) and Hong Kong University (School of Modern Languages and Cultures), currently researching on the European Union’s engagement of China on the theme of peace and security on the African continent. Prior to starting his PhD, he worked as a Research Assistant at the College of Europe’s Chair of EU-China relations, where he also obtained his MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy studies.
