Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta is a 1988 batch Indian Police Services (IPS) officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He retired from service on 31st January 2023 as the Director General of Police, Assam. He is currently serving as the Chief Information Commissioner, Assam. During his tenure with Assam Police, he was one of the key figures in India’s counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism edifice. He is also a filmmaker and a published author.

Abhijan Das has been involved in national security affairs for over a decade, counter-terrorism being one of his key focuses. He also has close to a decade of consulting experience working with Fortune 100 companies. He has completed his M.Sc. in Strategic Studies from S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
