Calista Burpee is a conflict management specialist currently serving as an advocacy consultant with Nonviolent Peaceforce. Previously, she worked with Nonviolent Peaceforce in South Sudan as a protection officer implementing unarmed civilian protection strategies alongside violence-affected communities. During her time there, she also acted as a technical advisor, engaging with international partners to apply a protection lens to their work. Calista has a BA in International Affairs from Gordon College, a MS in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University, and is a certified mediator.
