Dr Claire Pierson is a Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Liverpool. She works on abortion rights and activism and is a co-author of the book Reimagining Global Abortion Politics (Policy Press, 2018). She is the author of ‘After a CEDAW Optional Protocol Inquiry into abortion law: a conversation with activists for change in Northern Ireland‘, (International Feminist Journal of Politics, 24:2) and is currently working on a monograph on contemporary gender and feminist politics in Northern Ireland for Manchester University Press.
