Defne Günay is Associate Professor in International Relations at Yaşar University. She obtained her PhD from Sheffield University. Her research interests are politics and communication of climate change, EU foreign policy, EU enlargement and neighbourhood policies. Her research has been published in journals such as British Journal of Politics and International Relations, Environment and Planning C, Environmental Communication. She also contributed numerous chapters to edited books. She is the coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module Project entitled EU Foreign Policy and Climate Crisis (EUforCliC).
