Despina Papadimitriou is Associate Professor of History at Panteion University, Athens, Greece.  She has published on political conservatism, nationalism, fascism and the extreme right in Greece and in France.  Her most recent book is The Times of Crisis in the Interwar Period. The Greek Public Debate [in Greek] (2013). Her publications in English include: “George Papadopoulos and the Dictatorship of the Colonels, 1967-1974”, in Bernd J.Fischer (ed.), Balkan Strongmen. Dictators and Authoritarian Rulers of Southeast Europe, Hurst, London (2007): 393-424.
