Erik Herejk Ribeiro earned his PhD in International Strategic Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He was a Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), New Delhi, has worked as Assistant Editor for the Research Bulletin (Nerint) and as consultant in two projects for the Brazilian Ministry of Defence (Pro Defesa and Pro Estrategia). His main areas of research are India’s foreign and defence policies; geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific region; Brazilian foreign policy and relations with Asian countries.
