Erin Kilbride is the Gulf States and Yemen Editor at Muftah.org, where she writes on human rights, juvenile justice, and queer theory. She recently co-edited a special collection on LGBTQ Sexualities in the Middle East and North Africa, and has previously conducted gender justice research in Bahrain, Jordan, and with Iraqi refugee populations in the United States. Kilbride has written for Voice of America, Human Rights First, and the Bahrain Human Rights Observatory in Geneva.
