Francine Rossone de Paula is a Lecturer at Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, RJ. She teaches International Relations Critical Theory at the Department of International Relations and Strategic Studies. She has a PhD in Political and Cultural Thought from Virginia Tech (2016). Her first book, The Emergence of Brazil to the Global Stage, critically examines discourses, and the effects of these discourses, about Brazil’s status and ‘positioning’ in relation to the ‘global stage’ in the twenty-first century.
