Giorgio Shani is Professor of Politics and International Studies at International Christian University, Japan. He holds a PhD from SOAS and is author of Religion, Identity and Human Security and Sikh Nationalism and Identity in a Global Age, co-author of Sikh Nationalism and co-editor of Rethinking Peace  and Religion and Nationalism in Asia. He has published widely in journals including International Studies Review, Millennium, Postcolonial Studies, Review of International Studies and the Cambridge Review of International Studies. Hartmut Behr is Professor of International Politics, Newcastle University (UK). His research specialises in political theory, sociology of knowledge of IR, politics of difference, and political violence. The most recent monographs include A History of International Political Theory (2010) and Politics of Difference (2014), as well as book chapters and articles that appeared, among others, in EJIR, Geopolitics, Review of International Studies, International Studies Review, Millennium, and Ethics & International Affairs. He holds a PhD from the University of Cologne and was Visiting Scholar at Virginia Tech, International Christian University (Tokyo, Japan) and the universities of Pittsburgh, Jena, and Ottawa.
