Author profile: Gisela Carrasco-Miró

Gisela Carrasco-Miró is Visiting Professor at the Gender Studies Department at the Central European University in Vienna where she teaches Decolonising Development and Feminist Economics. Gisela holds a PhD in Postcolonial and Gender Studies from Utrecht University and MSc in Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies. Over eight years she has worked as Gender Advisor and Local Economic Development Programme Specialist for the United Nations in Central America and Sub-Saharan Africa as well as independent researcher for several international organizations and social movements. She has published on decolonising knowledges on politics of development, economics, ecology and feminism in a range of peer-reviewed journals.
