Author profile: Gökhan Bacık

Gökhan Bacık teaches Political Science at the Department of Politics and European Studies at Palacký University (Olomouc, Czech Republic). He received his PhD from Middle East Technical University, Ankara. His research interests include the politics of the modern Middle East, with an emphasis on Turkey and the role of ethnic and religious identities in international politics. His book Islam and Muslim Resistance to Modernity in Turkey (Palgrave Macmillan) was published in 2019.
