Author profile: Heonik Kwon

Heonik Kwon is professorial Senior Research Fellow in Social Anthropology at Trinity College, University of Cambridge, and has conducted fieldwork in Russian Siberia, central Vietnam and, more recently, in Korea. Currently he is directing an international project supported by the Academy of Korean Studies, which investigates the contemporary history of the Korean War in local and global contexts. His latest works include The Other Cold War (2010) and North Korea: Beyond Charismatic Politics (2012, co-authored).
