Author profile: Hugo Dobson

Hugo Dobson is Professor of Japan’s International Relations and the Head of the Department of the School of East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. His primary research focuses on Japan’s role in international relations, multilateral organisations and global governance, especially the G8 and G20. Some of his most recent works have been as a co-authored in the textbook Japan’s International Relations published by Routledge and the journal article Is Japan Really Back? The “Abe Doctrine” and Global Governance published in the Journal of Contemporary Asia.
