Jon (Yuan) Jiang is a PhD candidate in media and communication at the Queensland University of Technology, focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative. He has worked with ZTE Corporation as an account manager, as a co-founder with LockBreakers Consulting and as a special correspondent with Hong Kong-based Asia Weekly and Shanghai-based Pengpai News. He completed his master’s degree in political economy at Moscow State Institute of International Relations and bachelor’s degree in law at Shanghai University. He is also a non-resident Associate Research Fellow at Shandong University, Weihai.
