K.M. Fierke is a Professor of International Relations in the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews. She is author of five books, including Political-Self Sacrifice: Agency, Body and Emotion in International Relations (Cambridge University Press 2013) and Critical Approaches to International Security (Polity 2007), as well as numerous articles in internationally recognized journals relating to constructivism and security and emotion, trauma and memory as they relate to political violence.
