Professor Klaus Dodds is the Director of Research for the Department of Geography at Royal Holloway University of London. He researches in the areas of geopolitics, security and international governance of the Antarctic and the Arctic and media/popular culture. He has published many authored and edited books including Handbook on the Politics of the AntarcticScramble for the Poles? The Contemporary Geopolitics of the Arctic and AntarcticGeopolitics: A Very Short Introduction, and Pink Ice: Britain and the South Atlantic Empire.

 

Dr. Cassandra Brooks is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. She draws on a diversity of disciplines including marine science, environmental policy, and science communication to study and seek solutions to pressing environmental problems. Her work contributed to the adoption of the world’s largest marine protected area in the Ross Sea, Antarctica.
