Author profile: Lavinia Stan and Ruxandra Canache

Lavinia Stan is Associate Professor of Political Science at St. Francis Xavier University, Canada. The current President of the Society for Romanian Studies, Stan is working on transitional justice, and religion and politics especially in post-communist settings. She is the author of Transitional Justice in Post-Communist Romania and co-editor of Encyclopedia of Transitional Justice (both published with Cambridge University Press in 2013).

 

Ruxandra Canache is a doctoral student in the Department of History at McGill University, Canada. Her research interests revolve around cultural studies, politics and history. Her dissertation deals with dissent and alternative spaces in communist Romania.
