Dr. Lere Amusan is a Professor and Provost, College of Management and Social Sciences, Bowen University, Nigeria. He is also an extra-ordinary professor, North West University, South Africa. He specializes in food politics and policy in Africa. He is the editor of Food Security and Food Sovereignty challenges in Africa in 2022; and co-editor of Political Instability in Africa (2020) and Contemporary Security Issues in Africa (2020). He is currently working on a manuscript titled Achieving Sustainable Development Goal 2 Through the Right to Food in West Africa.

Dr. Samuel Chukwudi Agunyai is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Political Studies & International Relations, North West University, Mafikeng South Africa. He teaches political science at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His primary areas of research interests include African politics and government, food security, human security, political theory, migration studies, and governance in comparative sub-Saharan Africa contexts. Specifically, he specializes on African governance and development as well as the leadership question in Sub-Saharan Africa.
