Lorenzo M. Cello is a PhD Candidate at the School of Political Science and International Studies, University of Queensland, Australia. His work is concerned with the intersection between history and International Relations theory. His thesis looks at the historical relation between geopolitical and humanitarian discourses on intervention, with a particular focus on the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. In July 2015 he will join the Centre for the Study of the History of Political Thought at Queen Mary University of London as a junior visiting fellow.
