Maiken Gelardi holds a PhD from the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University and has been a visiting researcher at both FLACSO Ecuador and Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. She has published articles in International Studies Review and Alternatives on Western-centrism, post/decolonial thought and Global South contributions to IR theory. She currently works for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Research and Policy Advisor.
