Dr. Mamtimin Ala is an Australian Uyghur based in Sydney, Australia, and currently serves as the President of the East Turkistan Government in Exile. He is the author of Worse Than Death: Reflections on the Uyghur Genocide (Rowman and Littlefield 2021) and holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.
