Manuela da Rosa Jorge is a Leverhulme Doctoral Scholar in the School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary, University of London (UK). Manuela’s doctoral thesis explores European policies that are designed to regulate and control human mobility. She is particularly interested in expulsion policies and their consequences to those subjected to such instruments as well on policies’ narratives and on the misuse of human rights and humanitarian discourses on the part of the EU to pursue its policy goals. Manuela is currently on the Editorial Board for Millennium: Journal of International Studies.
