Maria Areyan Hernandez is a senior studying international relations at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She is currently a research assistant for Dr. Shauna Gillooly, the DEI Chair for the main Latinx student union, founder of the ALPFA chapter to empower the Latinx talent at William & Mary.

Shauna N. Gillooly (@ShaunaGillooly) is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Institute of Political Science at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an affiliated researcher at Instituto PENSAR at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. Her work examines themes of peace and conflict studies, human rights, transitional justice, and U.S. foreign policy in Latin America. She has over 10 years of experience conducting research in and on Latin America.
