Matt Davies is a Senior Lecturer in International Political Economy at Newcastle University, UK. He is a co-editor for the Routledge book series, Popular Culture and World Politics, as well as the degree programme director for Newcastle’s Master of Arts in World Politics and Popular Culture. In addition to writing about punk rock, he has written on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (in International Political Sociology, 2010) and on video clips about the financial crisis (in Alternatives, 2012).

Marianne Franklin is a Professor of Global Media and Politics at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her latest book, Digital Dilemmas: Power, Resistance and the Internet, is out with Oxford University Press. She is working on her next book, a study of the cultural geopolitics of musical sampling.
