Michael Hitchens is a member of the Department of Computing at Macquarie University, where he led the development of the Bachelor of Information Technology—Games Design and Development. His research interests include player experience, story and narrative in games, and the relationship between player and player character. He is the Associate Dean (Standards and Quality Committee) in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He has a Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons) and a PhD in Computer Science.
