Michael Walls [m.walls@ucl.ac.uk] is the Director of Research for the Development Planning Unit, University College London and is the Course Director for their MSc programme in Development Administration and Planning. He has worked and travelled extensively in the Horn of Africa and most particularly in Ethiopia and the Somali territories. Amongst other roles, he has been a coordinator of international election observations in Somaliland, and administrative secretary for the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Somalia and Somaliland.
