Author profile: Mikhail A. Molchanov

Mikhail A. Molchanov is Professor of Political Science at St. Thomas University in Canada and foreign member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. His current research interests include Ukrainian-Russian relations, regionalism in Eurasia, and Russian foreign policy. He is co-editor and co-author of The Ashgate Research Companion to Political Leadership (Ashgate, 2009) and Ukrainian Foreign and Security Policy: Theoretical and Comparative Perspectives (Praeger, 2002). His Political Culture and National Identity in Russian-Ukrainian Relations (Texas A&M University Press, 2002) examines post-communist nationalism as a state-building resource strategically utilised by the elites. His articles have appeared in Journal of European IntegrationNationalities PapersCanadian Slavonic Papers, Perspectives on Global Development and Technology, Polis (Russia), Suchasnist (Ukraine), and in other journals and books. Professor Molchanov’s next book, Eurasian Regionalisms and Russian Foreign Policy, is to be published by Ashgate in 2015.
