She is the author of Wahhabi Islam: From Revival and Reform to Global Jihad and Notable Muslims: Muslim Builders of World Civilization and Culture, Editor-in-Chief of The Oxford Encyclopedia of Islam and Women, and President of the American Council for the Study of Islamic Societies (ACSIS).
