Nicolas Falomir Lockhart is a research assistant at the Inter-American Studies Center (CEI) of Laval University, Québec (Canada), where he is also a PhD candidate in International Studies. He is interested in regional integration phenomenon, especially in Latin America, and also in democracy. His research focuses on regional organizations’ legitimacy and the efficiency of their democratic clauses. His latest article, “La identidad de Unasur: ¿regionalismo post-neoliberal o post-hegemónico?” was published in Revista de Ciencias Sociales in 2013.
