Author profile: Oscar Vidarte and Mayte Díaz Quichua

Dr. Oscar Vidarte is Full Professor of International Relations at Pontifical Catholic University of Perú (PUCP) and coordinator of the Research Group on Peruvian Foreign Policy (GIPEP) at the same university. He holds a PhD in Political Science and Government from the PUCP and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia). He also has studies in International Security from the University of Delaware. He has worked as a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of Peru and has been a visiting professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana (México). His latest books are Peru, Bolivia and Chile in the 21st Century (2023) and The war in Ukraine. Political, economic and historical considerations in an international order in transition (2024).

Mayte Díaz Quichua holds a degree in Political Science and Government from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Perú (PUCP) and is a research assistant at the Research Group on Peruvian Foreign Policy (GIPEP) of the same university. She has worked as a teaching assistant at the PUCP and as an assistant in private consultancies.
