Rachel A. George is a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute, a global affairs think tank in London and a Lecturing Fellow at Duke University Center for International Development. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MA in Middle East Studies from Harvard University. Her work has been published in Human Rights Review, in the book ‘The Arab Gulf States and the West: Perceptions and Misperceptions, Opportunities and Perils,’ The National Interest, among other outlets.
