Rutger Lazou is a PhD candidate in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Graz where he investigates how the transition towards a low- carbon society and economy can be realized in an ethical way. Prior to this, he obtained a Master’s in Moral Sciences at the University of Ghent in which he specialized in animal ethics. He is the author of De toekomst van de kat [The Future of Cats] (Uitgeverij Houtekiet 2019).
