Salvador Santino F. Regilme Jr. is a tenured scholar of International Relations and human rights at the Institute for History, Leiden University, The Netherlands. He is the co-editor of American Hegemony and the Rise of Emerging Powers: Cooperation or Conflict (Routledge 2019) and recently completed a monograph on the impact of United States foreign aid on state repression and human rights in the Global South.
