Serap Gur has a PhD from the Department of Political science, Louisiana State University and is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science at Northern Illinois University. Her research interests include comparative politics (political institutions), international relations (the Middle East, women, democracy), Turkish politics. Her article entitled “The 2015 Parliamentary Election in Egypt” is published in Electoral Studies. Her book “Presidentialism in Turkey: Instability and Change” will come out in 2017 from Routledge.
