Shruti Balaji is a PhD candidate at the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics, with research interests in historical international political thought, gender and feminist IR, and anticolonial IR theory with a focus on the politics of Indian women’s civil-society activism c.1920-60. Her research has appeared in Global Studies Quarterly and she has, alongside Tarsis Brito and Olivia Nantermoz, co-edited Millennium: Journal of International Studies’ 50th volume, including the conference Special Issue on ‘(Re)writing the International: Interrogating Histories, Imagining Futurities’.
