Sonia Garzon is a scholar and researcher in gender and international relations. Her recent work has delved into the study of intersectionality in peacebuilding. Recently, she has been a lecturer at the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University (UK), and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the same Department. Her own personal history of interdisciplinary research has led her to investigate/interrogate how political formations can respond to and are shaped by popular demands for peace, equality, and environmental justice.
