Dr Stéphane Voell is Coordinator of the Center for Conflict Studies of the Philipps-Universität Marburg, and a Lecturer in Cultural and Social Anthropology. After working on traditional law in Albania, he has been working on local legal practices, ethnicity, conflict, cultural heritage, and the anthropology of the state in the South Caucasus context since 2009. He has recently published in Caucasus Survey and Anthropological Journal of European Cultures, and has co-edited Caucasus, Conflict, Culture: Anthropological Perspectives on Times of Crisis.
