Thomas Gregory is Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. His research focuses on civilian casualties, contemporary conflict and the ethics of war and he has published articles in International Political SociologyEuropean Journal of International Relations and the International Feminist Journal of Politics. His co-edited book (with Linda Åhäll) Emotions, Politics and War was published by Routledge last year. Tom is just about to embark on a project funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand, which focuses on civilian casualties, counterinsurgency and the politics of killing. Follow him on Twitter.
