Xiaoye She is currently an Assistant Professor of Political Science at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). Her area of expertise is in comparative and international political economy with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. Her most recent research examines subnational variations in Chinese welfare capitalism, as well as China’s emerging role in Asian development finance. She teaches a variety of courses in International Relations, comparative politics, political economy, and research methods, with strong emphasis on active and problem-based learning pedagogies, such as team-based learning, case studies, and simulations.
