Author profile: Xira Ruiz Campillo, Kattya Cascante Hernández and Antonio Moreno Cantano

Xira Ruiz Campillo is a Professor of International Relations in the Faculty of Political Sciences at Complutense University of Madrid. She holds a PhD in International Relations and has been a lecturer of IR in other Spanish universities. She has been a visiting fellow at the Urban Institute of the University of Sheffield and has professional experience in the Spanish Ministry of Defense and in the UNCHR. Her research interests focus on climate diplomacy in the European Union and the role of cities in the fight against climate change. Besides, her interests in improving the quality of teaching have led her to participate in several congresses and research projects on innovation in education.

Kattya Cascante Hernández is an Associate Professor at Complutense University of Madrid. She is a current Research Associate with the University Institute for Development and Cooperation. Kattya earned her PhD at the department of Internationals Relations and Global History at the Complutense University of Madrid. She is an alumnus of the public research Newcastle University of UK and UNED university for Politics and Democracy Issues MB program. Kattya is a committed international cooperation professional. She was working in development organizations of Latin American, African and Asian development regions, designing and evaluating projects; coordinating the cooperation area in the foreign policy think tanks. She is a professor in the International Relations degree and International Cooperation MBA.

Antonio Moreno Cantano is an Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations and Global History at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). He belongs to the “History and Video Games” research group at the University of Murcia. He holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Alcalá de Henares. He combines his university teaching work with social science classes in an institute. His latest research focuses on the use of new sources for the study of international reality, especially digital games and graphic novels.
